Alcalá del Júcar
Alcalá del Júcar is located in the province of Albacete only 2 hours by car from Lago Jardín (185 Km). It was declared a Historic-Artistic complex in 1982. In 1986 it was awarded the third prize, after the Eiffel Tower and the Great Mosque of Istanbul, for the best artistic lighting. It is one of the most spectacular and picturesque villages in Spain. The houses are excavated in the mountain, adapted to the terrain in narrow and steep streets going up to the Castle. You must visit: the Castle, the Roman Bridge, its Bullring and the beautiful Devil’s Cave (information devil’s caves).

Bocairent
Bocairent is a municipality in the province of Valencia but it is only 1.30 hours from Jardin Lake (125 Km) Bocairent, it is “the town where the stones speak” From the Iberians (6th century BC) to the present day Bocairent has history that you can see, all the cultures that have passed Iberians, Romans, Arabs and Christians.
Fuentes del Algar are located 3 km from Callosa de Ensarriá (Alicante), just 1, 30 hours from Jardin Lake (130 km). The visit consists of a tour of a 1.5 km long circuit, through pools and waterfalls. During this journey the river carries an abundant amount of cold water, forming waterfalls and natural reservoirs through gorges and with abundant Mediterranean vegetation.
During the summer it is a beautiful visit and spend a very entertaining day.
Cartagena was founded as Qart Hadasht by the Carthaginian Asdrúbal el Bello in the year 227 BC on the site of a previous Iberian settlement.

In summer there are many people who come to Calblanque to enjoy its beaches. The rest of the year the local population also enjoys this protected wonder and it is only one hour by car (70Km) from Lago Jardin. Any time is good to visit the Park, but the best for bird watching and flowers is in the Spring.
